All That Glitters

EAST NORRITON — All that glitters isn’t just gold for Shuler’s Jewelers. It’s also diamonds and gemstones and 120 years of accolades from some very happy customers. When Alex Zenker bought the business on DeKalb Street in Norristown from Ralph Shuler back in 1971, the reputation of what was then primarily a gift shop trading in fine china, sterling silver flatware and jewelry had already gathered considerable luster from the time of its turn-of-the-century roots...

PRESS RELEASE: Shuler’s Jewelers adds sparkle to Paoli Hospital Auxiliary’s Mistletoe & Magic

The Paoli Hospital Auxiliary will hold its 14th annual Mistletoe & Magic gala and fundraising event on Friday, November, 21, 2008 at the Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA. For the second consecutive year, Shuler’s Jewelers of Chesterbrook, PA and Norristown, PA is proud to lend its support to the Auxiliary’s fundraising efforts.

The grand prize for this year’s Mistletoe & Magic raffle is a Hearts On Fire Repertoire diamond pendant, donated by Shuler’s Jewelers. Valued at $5,900 and set in 18 karat white gold, the pendant features an exquisite round Hearts On Fire diamond framed by smaller diamonds in a distinctive teardrop shape. Raffle tickets can be purchased at Paoli Hospital until the day of the event or at Aronimink Golf Club on the night of Mistletoe & Magic.

Proceeds from this year’s event will go toward completion of the new Paoli Hospital Auxiliary Patient Care Pavilion, slated to open in Summer 2009. The Pavilion, which will include 14 state-of –the-art operating rooms, a high-tech Emergency Department, new Intensive Care Unit and private patient rooms, will double the square footage of the current Hospital.

“Moving the event from a Sunday to a Friday night and adding a fantastic band to entertain our guests will help to make this year’s Mistletoe & Magic bigger and better than ever,” said Lisa Ferrie-Kennedy, the 2008 Chair for the event. “We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, who have provided such fabulous donations for our raffle and silent auction. Everyone at Shuler’s Jewelers has been wonderful to work with, and the diamond necklace is absolutely spectacular,” Ferrie-Kennedy added.

Shuler’s, a trusted area business for nearly 120 years, welcomes this opportunity to contribute to the Paoli Hospital Auxiliary’s premier fundraising event. “Mistletoe & Magic provides an exciting kickoff to the holiday season,” said Howard Zenker, owner of Shuler’s Jewelers. “We are delighted to do whatever we can in support of such a worthy cause.”
